Al menos 36 muertos y 130 heridos dejó un choque de trenes en Grecia
Un choque de dos trenes ocurrido al norte de Larissa, en Grecia central, causó en la noche de este martes al miércoles al menos 36 muertos y unos 130 heridos, informaron las autoridades locales.
Los bomberos estiman que probablemente aumente el número de muertos, ya que entre los restos del tercer vagón de pasajeros, donde han recuperado los últimos dos cuerpos sin vida, hay aún una decena de cadáveres.
Los heridos más graves se encuentran en el hospital de Larissa.
En los dos trenes, uno de pasajeros y otro de mercancías, viajaban unas 350 personas y 20 tripulantes, explicó la empresa ferrocarril “Hellenic Train”.
Los trenes chocaron poco antes de la medianoche local (22.00 GMT) cerca de Tempe, una pequeña localidad situada en un valle donde se encuentra un túnel ferroviario, unos 300 kilómetros al norte de Atenas. Desde entonces la cifra de fallecidos ha ido creciendo progresivamente.
Varios vagones descarrilaron y al menos tres se incendiaron en el accidente.
