La municipalidad impulsó charlas informativas sobre los beneficios de las huertas familiares
La dirección de Producción Agropecuaria y Políticas Ambientales; y la Oficina de Culto, ambas áreas dependientes de la Secretaría de Gobierno de la Municipalidad de La Banda, comenzaron una importante actividad de difusión de beneficios de las huertas familiares con vecinos del barrio Río Dulce.
El director de producción, Oscar Quiroga explicó que fueron invitados por pastores del barrio, para comenzar a trabajar con un Proyecto de Huertas que incluye huertas familiares y la posibilidad de conformar una huerta comunitaria en el barrio.
El primer encuentro consistió en una charla introductoria, con conceptos generales sobre qué es una huerta, como se puede hacer una huerta y que se puede producir en ella.
En la oportunidad participaron 25 familias que se les entregaron kits de semillas y el municipio comenzará a trabajar con ellas con diferentes talleres sobre huertas familiares.
Por su parte, el encargado de Culto, Roberto Jaime, agradeció a los integrantes del área Producción Agropecuaria por comenzar con estas importantes charlas y también destacó el trabajo de los pastores evangélicos en los barrios ya que se interiorizan de los problemas sociales de cada sector.
“Ellos son el nexo de comunicación entre los vecinos y el municipio porque en las charlas uno no sólo trata el tema de la huerta familiar sino también la situación general del barrio. Teniendo en cuenta esto, estamos tomando conocimiento que hay otros tipos de necesidades en el sector donde van a comenzar a intervenir y trabajar diferentes áreas del municipio para brindar soluciones concretas a esos problemas“, destacó Jaime.
